What is an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)?

An EPC contains information about a property to help potential buyers make an informed decision before they put forward an offer. The EPC By law must be available to the potential buyers and is the responsibility of the seller which must be made free of charge to potential buyers. The EPC is valid for 10 years.

Who can do them?

In order to obtain your EPC, your property must be certified by a licensed Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). The certificate will provide an energy efficiency rating with a graph the band to show how energy efficient the building is. It also provides the estimated energy costs of the home and the actions that can be taken to save money along with how make the property more efficient.

Arranging an EPC

We can arrange for a Domestic Energy Assessor to carryout an EPC on your property at a competative rate.

Once the EPC is complete, you will be able to view it online and we will make it available to prospective buyers.

If you are with another agent but then want to instruct us to sell your property, we can take an existing EPC and enhance it accordingly for marketing.
